It can only be assumed that the other places around town operate in a similar manner. The majority pay their workers less than half the minimum wage. Most employees are illegal immigrants so complaints aren’t heard ... not in English anyway. I wonder if it’s illegal to underpay illegal aliens who were illegally hired? In this day and age, it may even be illegal to pose the question.
